The Company

Our client is a reputable gobal business specialising in lime and mineral from a number of UK locations. Due to an increase in productivity there is a requirement for an additional customer service/sales order processing assistant. The Sales order processing Assistant/Customer Services Assistant works as part of the Customer Services Team responsible for the customer facing administration of business transactions and customer support for both UK and export customers, plus assisting with other administrative work as required.

Core Duties:

  • Receiving customer orders/requirements to be input into SAP; booking transport and informing production and/or third party contractors to initiate the satisfaction of the customers' orders/requirements, working with VAS logistics system providing information and reporting;
  • Creating and updated customer contracts in SAP and customer files;
  • Preparation and dispatch of quotations and other commercial documents including manual invoices, credit and debit notes. etc;
  • Providing supporting administrative work for maintaining and checking of delivery costs, resolving queries and clearance of invoices and issuing of self-bill payments as well as for keying and maintaining records of manual tickets, clearance of one-bill customers and other transactions including administration of paperwork for export contracts;
  • Receiving customers' queries/feedback to be input into review system;
  • Other administrative duties as required.

The Person

You will hold a qualification in Maths and English and be proficient on MS Office. It would be advantageous if you have used SAP or another ERP system but you will be IT literate. A team player you will have proven experience of working in a customer focused role and will possess good communication skills both verbally and written. A self starter you will be able to work on your own initiative to strict deadlines.
